We had a tremendous VEX IQ & FLL event!

We had a tremendous VEXIQ & FLL event this Saturday, Dec. 10th.

Students from all teams had tons of fun and inspiration on improving all our #Robots going forward.

There was a great showing from all 7 CASLV teams in total.

Three Elementary Teams:

CASLV-Cadence 20058C Tech Eagles,

CASLV-Centennial Hills 41401A Centennial Bots A,

CASLV-Tamarus 62746A FalconBots.

Four Middle School Teams:

CASLV-Cadence 20058A Robotic Eagles,

CASLV-Cadence 20058B Bionic Eagles,

CASLV-Windmill 7833A Falcon Force,

CASLV-Windmill 7833B Falcon Fury.

FLL Qualifiers Tournament at SECTA High School

FLL Team 56283, Cyber Eagles, representing Cadence Campus, performed very well. They brought home a trophy for their Robot Design and advanced to the State Championship on February 4, 2023. During the Table Games, they started their first round with 130 points and finished their last round with 180 points. They just missed getting a 3rd place trophy by 5 points. They accomplished this by adding and improving their missions on the table, demonstrating skill and control under the pressure of the competition. They also did fantastic during their presentations for their Robot Design, Core Values, and Innovation Project, receiving accolades from the Judges.

VEX IQ Performance Only Tournament at Lied Middle School

VEX IQ Team 20058c, Tech Eagles! The students went above and beyond what was expected. Team 20058c placed 16th out of 68 competing teams in the alliance teamwork rounds, which qualified them for Elimination! During this high-pressure round, the students placed 4th out of 16 competing teams all of which were middle school students. Finally, Team 20058c is ranked 785 in world skills out of 2583 competing teams. Very Impressive for their first go!

Also special mention to teams 20058a & 20058b. Both teams managed to put up a respectable fight for their first round. Team 20058a placed 29th out of 68 competing teams and team 20058b placed 36 out of 68 competing teams.

All three Cadence teams placed in the top 20 out of 68 competing teams in the World Skills Challenges.

20058a: Robotic Eagles = 14th place,

20058b: Bionic Eagles = 11th place,

20058c: Tech Eagles = 17th place.

Falcon Force 7833A finished the 25th day in Skills, where the team did three solo runs of the Competition field. Our Teamwork matches finished 30th out of 68 teams, with an average Teamwork score of 45 per match.

Falcon Fury 7833B finished the 39th day in Skills, where the team did two solo runs of the Competition field. Our Teamwork matches finished 54th out of 68 teams, with an average Teamwork score of 29 per match.
