CASLV- Windmill Vex Robotics
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Girl Powered Workshop, held on October 7th in celebration of the International Day of Girls. This engaging event was tailored specifically for our Windmill 5th - 7th graders and Tamarus 4th graders, future women of STEM, aiming to immerse them in a variety of stimulating STEM activities. Throughout the workshop, our students delved into the realms of VEX IQ Robotics, Drones, and PLTW: Medical Devices, participating in hands-on activities meticulously designed to spark curiosity and inspire them to pursue their passions in STEM fields.
We are delighted to announce that our event featured a special guest speaker, Crysti Howser, Director of Business Development at Zappos.com. She graciously shared her valuable insights and experiences, serving as a wellspring of inspiration and motivation for all attendees.
At our core, we, as educators, firmly advocate for the provision of diverse and empowering opportunities for our Future Women of STEM. This workshop stands testament to our unwavering commitment to this cause. As we reflect on the success of this year’s event, we are already in the initial stages of planning next year’s workshop. We firmly believe that it will continue to be a profound learning experience, shaping the future endeavors of our young girls.
