Congratulations to the fantastic Cadence VEX IQ Team and their Coach Mr. Shiver!

 

Cadence has done it again! 

 

VEX IQ Elementary Team 20058c: Tech Eagles of CASLV Cadence managed to bring themselves back from some major technical setbacks. Thanks to the combined efforts of the team, they managed to walk away with the ability to move on to the final level in which they can represent the State of Nevada.

 

VEX IQ Team 20058c: Tech Eagles was awarded The Innovate Award. This award recognizes a team’s ability to implement an effective and efficient robot design process. Their Engineering Notebook and discussion with the Judges will demonstrate the team’s ability to produce a quality robot with minimal adult assistance. 

 

It is with great pride that Innovate Award qualified our Team 20058c: Tech Eagles to compete in Dallas, Texas for VEX IQ in the VEX IQ Elementary Division at VEX Worlds this coming may where they will be one of two schools representing CASLV at the Elementary level as well as one of ten schools representing the State of Nevada. Team 20058c placed 4th out of 25 competing teams in the alliance teamwork rounds, which qualified them for Eliminations! During this high-pressure round, the students placed 3rd among the competing teams. Finally, Team 20058c is currently ranked 1011 in World Skills out of 4125 competing teams worldwide as of today. 

 

They placed 11 out of 25 competing teams in the World Skills Challenges at the event…

 

Finally, It is with great honor to announce that Mr. Shiver was awarded “VEX IQ Elementary Teacher of the Year” at the VEX IQ Elementary State Championships.
