Congratulations to the amazing Cadence VEXIQ Team and their Coach Mr. Shiver!
Tech Eagles (Team 20058c) had a thrilling and rewarding experience at VEX Worlds IQ Elementary! Despite facing tough competition, our students displayed impressive teamwork, adaptability, and resilience. Out of 74 teams in the Innovate Division, only 20 made it to the elimination rounds, and we are proud to have been among them. The Cadence elementary team performed exceptionally well, especially considering it was their first time competing at this level.
The Robotic Eagles also had a remarkable showing, placing 60th in alliance teamwork rounds and ranking 393 in World Skills. Their score of 100 points is not only their highest of the season but also the highest of any elementary team in Nevada. Tech Eagles finished the season with a World Ranking of 1476 out of 5771 teams worldwide.
Tech Eagles had an amazing showing at the event and proudly represented the state of Nevada and Coral Academy of Science- Cadence not only as first-year VEX IQ Robotics students but as a well-organized and positive team throughout the season.
Special shout out to Meryem for her competitive approach and helping to keep her team's spirits held high throughout the event, To Oliver for his amazing robot build and design, and to Jacob & Simu for their unique ability to interact with each other on the field as drivers and for their ability to work well with other teams, to Melike for her ever-growing programming skills that helped to secure the team's spot as 393 of 694 competing teams and finally to Ave, Audrey, Eleonora and Sophia for the outstanding work on this year’s Design Journal and attention to details in their notes, which was a big part of the reason we were invited to compete in VEX Worlds!
Overall, VEX Worlds was tough, but it was also a lot of fun. We are thrilled with the progress we have made and can't wait to see what the future holds for Tech Eagles!
